Using the skills I have acquired involving the receiving of product, selecting, sorting, loading, all the way to the point of delivery I utilize the latest in routing software and technology to increase route efficiencies to our over 5,000 customers. I coordinate new accounts into our delivery systems, mainly dealing with larger chains that require adding new personnel and equipment to take on. Recent chains I have incorporated include Nice N Easy Grocery Shoppes and Fastrac Markets out of New York. We have anywhere from 100 to 120 route trucks on the road every day in which we monitor very closely, spanning 8 states. These routes depart from our 12 warehouses or cross docking facilities throughout our distribution footprint. By using up to date technologies and techniques we are able to emphasize on “Customer Service” by delivering products in a timely manner, rather it be dry goods or temperature controlled cooler/frozen items.

Processing all work for the beverage divisions night selecting crew as well as solve minor technical issues with printers and voice pick system. I also coordinated quality control for key accounts. This process included double checking selecting, staging and loading of beer/wine product to ensure orders were 100% accurate to specific chain accounts. On top of those duties, I coordinated products being shuttled to our Bangor facility where it is loaded and delivered as well as communicating picking speeds between beer and wine lines to adjust personnel in order to keep an even work flow throughout the facility. I would also perform various spot checks on orders entering sorting area to minimize errors reaching our customers as well as fill in where needed throughout the warehouse whether it be selecting, sorting, loading, or stocking.

I coordinated all aspects of the wine division in order to ensure product was stocked at appropriate levels, orders were selected accurately and in a timely manner, as well as making sure product made it to correct pallets to be loaded and delivered to accounts. The wine division is comprised of 4 pick lines. There is one bulk pick line where product is selected by the case and staged to be merged with orders flowing from the 3 level wine mezzanine. A single account could be taking product from all 4 lines so was key to allocate the right personnel to the right area with the right skill set to maintain even work flow into the sorting area. My duties included jumping into whatever situation arose whether it be needing an extra selector, sorter, or stocker to maintain these levels. I also performed necessary reviews to educate current employees on their strengths or weaknesses in order to establish a productive and efficient division.

I was responsible for distributing work in the wine line sorting area to make sure accounts made it onto correct pallets. These duties included putting together pallet tags so my sorting crew knew what accounts goes on what pallet as well as helping them handle product to ensure pick lines did not get backed up from sorting area. I coordinated the amount of personnel were needed on the 3 level wine mezzanine to manage work flow entering sorting area. I also communicated each selector's pick times to manager as well as assigned duties during non-productive times (not selecting). I also performed any other tasked assigned to me by area manager.

My responsibilities were to select product for accounts. I moved into a sorting position which involved sorting wine product onto correct pallets assigned to me by the lead sorter. I was also responsible for completed all tasks assigned to me by the area manager.

My main responsibilities were to pack orders (sometimes select and pack whole order) that were outside the range of our delivery trucks and ship them through outside carriers. This process included recording product type and weight for all types of products including hazardous materials. Properly assigning correct hazardous materials classifications as prescribed by federal guidelines to ensure carriers used proper placards when transporting these material. I would then contact carriers for rate quotes to secure the best rate possible for that specific order. Other responsibilities included selecting orders, packing orders for our delivery trucks and UPS, selecting special order items, receiving product, double checking orders (all orders were double checked before leaving the building), and any other tasks assigned to me by the warehouse manager.
