Carry out technical reviews for all areas of work covered in Building Services and infrastructure projects. These include but are not necessarily limited to, hazardous area installations, building management and energy conservation, commercial and industrial buildings, water storage and distribution, drainage systems, fire protection using conventional analog and high sensitivity type detectors, firefighting systems using water, CO2 and foam, cathodic protection, etc. Recommend appropriate solutions and propose changes as necessary; gather research and analyze pertinent data and information and prepare recommendations with supporting technical data. Prepare specifications and equipment data sheets. Contribute to the verification of building Completion and ‘Commissioning’ stages.Review technical aspects of bids from Consulting Engineering Companies and Construction Contractors, for his functional area of work. Support Projects in identifying and assessing capability resources and technical strengths of Consulting Engineers, Contractors, and Vendors, in the evaluation of technical bids and take part in Evaluation Committee meetings.

• Managing all client requirements and expectations.• Technical review and approval of Contractor's official submittals (i.e. design & shop drawings, material submittals, method statements of work, ITPs, as-built drawings...etc.).• Ensure contract compliance when reviewing Mechanical Discipline Submittals including Testing & Commissioning.• Attending technical discussions as directed by SRE, RE, or CM.• Provide technical support to the construction manager and site managers.• Work closely with the site team to ensure that the contractor’s works are meeting project specifications and client requirements.• Supervising and approving Site Inspectors and RFIT reports.• Managing design review, technical, and construction workshops.• Review logs for material submittals, method statements, correspondence, and shop drawings.• Answering technical queries and solving technical problems.• Ensuring the completeness of all documentation before preceding the works.• Inspect all mechanical materials delivered at the site to ensure that these are per the approved materials submittals prior to installation at site.• Assisting and working closely with the SQS/SCC for technical aspects of Variation Notices.• Review FAT procedures and attend FATs. • Confirm (RFIT) Mechanical Construction Progress and invoices. • Preparation of weekly progress report.• Forming letters to address the issues to contractor and client.• Attending the weekly progress meetings held with the contractor and the client.• Managing contractor submittal, daily progress, and snag list.• Responsible for the actual overall testing and commissioning, handover, snagging, and de-snagging process of the project.• Supervise testing and commissioning works of mechanical equipment.

• Assist the Construction Manager in the execution of the project by providing the necessary leadership and drive to ensure safe completion within time and cost constraints. • Performs project planning as required by the Project Manager which includes setting up project organization, establishing the sequence, schedules and procedures, manpower planning, resource requirements, and budgetary costs.• Performs mechanical piping design selection of equipment, and engineering of the plant according to process requirements. • Monitors, tracks, and reports project progress.• Supervise installation, start-up, and commissioning of mechanical equipment in a liquid stream, solids stream, and non-process buildings. • Supervise installation of odour control duct and unties.• Identifies resources needed and assigns individual responsibilities

• Acting member of the management project team during the tender stage, design stage, execution stage, and commissioning & handover stage.• Contact vendors during the procurement stage for technical issues.• Attending technical discussions as directed by the client and PMC.• Tracks and reports team working hours and expenses every week.• Managing project budget within the scope defines by the management.• Review and approval of deliverables prepared by the project team.• Organize and attend technical & progress meetings with client and PMC. • Review materials related to mechanical engineering and ensure their compliance with contract requirements. • Prepare project drawings in coordination with the design function based on tender drawings, and structural, architectural, and false ceiling drawings. • Ensure quality of work is in compliance with contract requirements and good practice and that only approved material is used.• Coordinate installation, operation, maintenance, and repair activities of machines and equipment to ensure its optimum utilization.

• Study the construction drawings and the project specifications.• Execute the work according to the approved shop drawings, method statements, and ITPs as submitted to ensure compliance with the contract requirements. • Raise RFIs to the consultant in case of discrepancies or confusion. • Guide the foremen on site.• Supervise all the works on site such as HVAC, firefighting, plumbing, drainage, and electrical works.• Evaluate the material, resources, and manpower required for different activities.• Report the material requirements to the procurement department to book/purchase the materials timely.• Review of the contractor's official submittals (i.e. shop drawings, material submittals, method statements of work, and ITPs).• Report the requirements of the project manager.• Prepare take-offs for the materials required.• Prepare the quantities executed on-site during the month for the interim payment.• Coordinate with sub-contractors to sort out site issues without delays.
