(Level 4) Responsibility:• Commissioning new Gas Turbine skids (Generator sets, Compressor sets) which includes checking and testing the following:Grounding System, Pre-power up for the UCP , Software preparation (PLC Control Logix 5000, PLC-5) , network configuration (ControlNet, DH+, Ethernet TCP/IP, Modbus TCP/IP, Modbus RTU RS485 ) , Fire & Gas detection/Releasing system (Det-Tronics), VFD configuration (PowerFelx 700, 755 & Reliance GV3000) , Battery charger system setup, LV switch gear control, instrumentations and electrical sensing devices Calibration (RTD’s , thermocouples, analogue voltage and current Signals, frequency [speed], pressure transmitters , level transmitters , flow transmitters ), control valves, Elec/hydro Actuators , Vibration system setup and verification (BN1701,3500 and XM ) , CGCM configuration , PID tuning . • Supervise the installation and Carry out the commissioning of the Control system Retrofit for gas turbine packages.• Provide technical support, training and troubleshoot problems to the customers at site.Achievement: • At Shell, Project: Majnoon Field Gas plant, the customer was suffering from the Starting the plant manually and the Automatic start is malfunctioning. Investigated the problem and discussed the issue with the customer process Engineer. Found a solution to the problem and rectified the plant Auto Start mode which saved around 10 MMSCFD flared gas. • At SNGPL, Project: Control System Upgrade, after successfully starting up the new control system, found that the customer was suffering from High lube oil Consumption which affect the unit productivity, discussed the issue with the customer site manager, started the investigation and finally found the root cause of the issue. Develop and refine the Plant PM Program. Participate in procurement, installation, and commissioning of Electrical equipment. Prepare Electrical maintenance budget. • Carried out/Supervised preventive and breakdown maintenance programs supported by CMMS/RMS software’s like IMMPOWER and SAP for electrical equipment such as 11KV Siemens Switchgear , 2MVA PAUWELS Transformers , Eaton LV Switch gear , UP to 5.3 MW Electric Motors , UPS systems “Chloride, GUTOR” , VFD and power management system and lighting Fixtures. • Revised the maintenance procedure to comply with International standards.• Assisted the department manager in annual budget plan and also in the annual evaluation for subordinates• Supported the Project engineers during new projects installations.Achievement: • Played key role in Gas plant pre-compression Station project; reviewed the installation plan, witnessed commissioning, and followed-up with construction engineers to ensure timely receipt of commissioning. This had very notable affect of the project progress and completion, avoiding the conflict between the operation activities of the old plant and the new project. • Assisted the switchgear vendors Rep during LV & HV switchgears modifications, Solved the HV Bus Voltage transformer problem and replaced the defect one by equivalent one from the store.
