    The Equator Principles (EPs) is a risk management framework, adopted by financial institutions, for determining, assessing and managing environmental and social risk in projects. The EPs apply globally, to all industry sectors and to four financial products 1) Project Finance Advisory Services 2) Project Finance 3) Project-Related Corporate Loans and 4) Bridge Loans. The EP Association comprises 130+ Equator Principles Financial Institutions (EPFIs) worldwide who have adopted the EPs, covering the majority of international project debt within developed and emerging markets.I am one of the four members in the EP Association Secretariat who work to support the Equator Principles Association. My role is 1). Support EPFIs in Asia and Ocean, which is the biggest region in term of the number of EPFIs; 2). Facilitate EP Signatory process; and 3). Support the Capacity Building Working Group.

MFF is co-initiated and supported by six organizations, namely CARE, FAO, IUCN, UNDP, UNEP and Wetlands International with IUCN hosts the Regional Secretariat, and covers 15 countries in Asia and Africa. Responsibilities: Acted as the focal point at the regional secretariat to coordinate with different stakeholders in program countries, six partner organizations, four donor agencies and dozens of grantees; Involved in overall strategic planning for the program (finance and activities) as well as managed program/project finance at regional level; Reviewed country programs performances and provided backup support and capacity building training to National Coordinators and grantees; Developed project guidance and managed Small Project Facility (SGF) and Large Projects Facility (LPF) at regional level – a project portfolio of 80+ small projects and 10 large projects using result-based management; Played a leading role in conducting project monitoring, learning and evaluation; Planed and organized Regional Steering Committee meetings twice a year and other regional events at least three times a year; Assisted the Coordinator on day-to-day running of the regional Secretariat, including staffing, procurement, budget planning, internal coordination, etc.;Achievements: Developed a project portfolio of nearly 100 projects within two years with a Small Grant system which fits in management and in different implementation agencies in all MFF focal countries;  Involved in the setting up of the project monitoring, learning and evaluation system with indicators, which ensured the smooth implementation of the Program in 15 countries in Asia and Africa;  As one of the key team members, contributed to the success of MFF Phase one which won continuous support of the main donors (NORAD and SIDA).
