Applied Electrochemistry Group1. Synthesized manganese dioxide/ three dimensional graphene foams composite through one-pot method for catalyzing Oxygen Reduction Reaction (ORR). 2. Applied various characterization and electrochemical measurements, i.e. SEM, TEM, XPS, CV, LSV and etc., to test the composite. The result showed that the composite is an effective catalyst for ORR and have excellent stability in alkaline solution.

Applied Electrochemistry Group1. Fabricated Carbon-disk Microelectrode for Human Mucosa Membrane Cholesterol Analysis: deposited Nano-sized platinum with single layer of cholesterol oxidase on polished carbon-fiber microelectrode, which worked as a measure electrode for Human body mucous membrane measurement.2. Participated in the electrochemistry engineering workshop conducted by Daniel A. Scherson, thepresident of the Electrochemical Society (ECS): Reinforced my knowledge in Electrochemistry and the developing status of fuel cells and capacitor.

Industrial Catalysis Group1. Research on Industrial Waste Gas Processing: Formaldehyde removal by catalytic combustion. Control the cost and improve catalytic effect through changing the type and proportion of the loadmetals on alumina.2. Research on Ethylene Epoxidation Catalysts of Synthesis and Reactions: Adjust the load of silver(reactive metal) and cesium (promoter) on α-alumina, to achieve an optimized catalyst with the highest selectivity and longest effective time.3. Research on Cerium Zirconium Oxide: Tune the pH value and the buffer of co-precipitation to composite oxides with different apertures characterized via XRD.

Increased the yield of diesel and liquefied petroleum gas while reducing the output of gasoline by resetting the distillation range from the original [25,203] °C to [25,190] °C and turning off the alkylation unit.
