•Prepare quarterly tax provision for GE Australia Power & Transportation businesses, manage the quarterly closing process, including perform calculation of CIT, GST and WHT matters;•Liaise with Australia tax teams with regard to tax compliance work and be the interface between finance teams and PWC tax team, if any, regarding collection, preparation and analysis of financial data, legal documents and other relevant information required for Australia tax return filings and tax audits• Validate tax balance sheet accounts, prepare tax account reconciliations including CIT/VAT/WHT/Def tax and ensure that the tax balances are well supported with work papers•Prepare financial budget planning, forecast next quarter'/year tax budget (VAT/CIT) to tax controllership, perform financial analysis of significant variance between budget and actual tax filing.•Provide tax planning regarding the carve out project for business units and estimate the tax impact relatively•Support the tax migration projects from Australian local into GE China Global operation and re-setting up the reporting in line with Headquarters' policy for tax process efficiency. •Perform US GAAP ASC740 analysis report, ETR(Effective Tax Rate) analysis, coordinate with businesses and Australia tax team with respect to valuation allowance and purpose the RTA(Return to accrual) adjustment entries to GL related parties.•Compile information required to draft statutory disclosures, co-ordinate completion of tax disclosures, co-ordinate statutory audit and resolve queries raised.
