Project 1: Development of a Self-sustained Wireless Integrated Structural Health Monitoring (ISHM) System for Highway Bridges - Tested a solar based energy harvesting devices to power sensor network- Analyzed an accelerometer to detect the vibration of bridge to do estimate behavior of aging bridgesProject 2: Structural and Shape Analysis for Fitness Equipment - Analyzed a real World physical problem, combined with engineering assumption and boundary conditions- Designed 3-D model by both GUI and TXT and reduced 20% time by using proper mesh commands and modeling algorithmProject 3: Design of Electromechanical Systems Experimental Demonstration: Applied Electromagnetics Wireless Speakers- Illustrated the salient characteristics of the Biot-Savart Law and the Faraday's Law of Electromagnetic Induction and showed how varying magnetic flux linkages to a conductive coil can induce a voltage - Demonstrated how data can be transmitted over small ranges by electromagnetic induction.

A QPSK Radio Transmitter operating at an RF carrier frequency of 2.4GHz - Designed and simulated a 2.4GHz Transmitter within the constraints of available components using Simulink - Hands-on experience in 2.4GHz transmitter setup by using the RF PA, mixers, VCO and self-designed BPF- Implemented two topologies-direct conversion and two-step conversion that got the highest bit rate in four groups Design of microstrip narrow band-pass filter with 2.4GHz center frequency - Designed a 5 orders Chebyshev BPF with less than -4dB insertion loss- Analyzed AWR to show the simulation result to match the stop band attenuation and insertion loss- Sent board for fabrication and tested the 2.4GHz by using Spectrum Analyzer which showed a pleasing result
