Participated in the development of Phoenix Labs' flagship multiplayer game: Dauntless. Mainly worked on backend services and DevOps pipeline. • Migrated Java backend service's Jenkins build pipeline from Maven to Bazel to improve DevOps workflow. • Improved backend microservice deployment time by over 200%, resulting in shorter maintenance time during game version upgrades.• Worked with Kubernetes and Dockers in coordination with Bazel and Jenkins to package and deploy service applications in a scalable fashion. • Worked with Kubernetes to improve microservice health checking. • Led the development of a brand-new API which utilizes message queuing that manages player data upgrade in an efficient and resilient fashion with built-in retrying.• Significantly improved Phoenix Labs’ Customer Support tools, built with Python Flask, to facilitate better communication with players and improve visibility of player data. • General maintenance and bug fixes of Dauntless' API services and deployment pipelines.• Incentivized improving code quality in the team by integrating Static Code Analysis tools into Game Build Jenkins pipeline.
