Part of this role has allowed me to calculate how much backlog we have, the productivity we have produced from the hours we have used. Being a senior supervisor, I had key responsibility.

Part of this role was to perform daily store administration tasks, which includes stock and cash handling such as putting on the tills every morning and taking off tills on weekends. I work around the delivering and stockroom for preparation of the sales date and the stock for the shop floor. My main role is to process clothes i.e stripped items, tag, hang and cubes all stock that comes through that are men, woman and children wear. Other activities such as detagging clothes, clipping on sales ticket, stockroom roles - delivery, markdown. I had to make sure each sale ticket was mark down correctly from each department (womenswear, menswear and kidswear), I was introduced to the delivery process and shown the processing of deliveries according to the company and stockroom manager guidelines which led me to understand the importance of the employees behind the shop floor.

For this role, I had to count how many stocks there is in the warehouse and on the shop floor, depending on what type of shop it is. This job role consist of fast counting and most importantly accuracy. I have learnt how stock, every stock is important to a business that relies a lot on how much they have sold and how much stock they have on the shop floor & warehouse, also the loss of stock due to many reasons such as damages, returns or stolen. I’ve stock counted from a variety of retails and supermarket such as in Morrisons, Superdrugs, Poundland, Savers, BHS and Watestones.
