I owned & operated a Roots & Culture Boutique @ Harlem's Mart 125 Mall My shop was Creative Vision where I had Arts & Crafts From Africa Haiti Jamaica & Indonesia I begin to travel to these countries & custom made wonderful designs for my boutique. I also made Black Pride Medallions & Pendants for Hip Hop Legend Afrika Bambaataa & The Zulu Nation Latin Kings & Queens & was The behind the scene designer for the original Hip Hop Artist n the late 80's & early 90's . We specialize in Black History books & Lecture Tapes & Videos Documentary & we made incense & oils along with beautiful African Jewelry & Accessories. I had the pleasure of Meeting Susan Taylor Editor in Chief of Essence n Ghana West Africa n 1991 while helping the disabled and elderly in Ghana with some Elder friends that had Developed This Wonderful Project. I taught many local youth in Harlem Arts & Craft & often supplied them with part-time employment to keep them off the streets and out of trouble. Yusef Saalam was one of the youth I worked with and when he was accused of the Central Park Rape I knew it was a lie because he was with me making African Pendants for some Local Hip Hop Artist then he went to meet his friends & was accused of rape which finally the truth came out & they were cleared of all charges!!!. My goal was 2 create positive images 4 the street youth 2 b proud of their African History & Heritage and Creative Vision did just That Ashe' :)
