I am a full-stack developer with 20 years of web development experience, my origins began by using the traditional PHP, MySQL and Linux stack, but I have now shifted more towards ServerLess on AWS to handle most of any new projects I am working on. And although I am still a fan of Bootstrap/jQuery where I spent many years working with, I have now also shifted my front end towards the React/Redux/GraphQL world.While at SmarterClick I built their original platform all the way up to their V5.xx system, and as their client base and traffic grew it helped me gain a solid understanding of how to develop clean, and fast code that had to run on hundreds of retail websites with 1000's of requests per second. This meant that working with a fantastic team we were able to build auto-scaling systems using many AWS technologies such as ELB's, Aurora, DynamoDB, Lambda, ElasticSearch, Kinesis Firehose, SQS, SNS, Athena, Redshift and delivering it through CloudFront & Cloudflare for lightning-quick global response times.I also love to dabble with 3D Software and have recently started learning Houdini to add to my portfolio as the fluid dynamic and particle simulations are simply mind-blowing!
