About Davis Lee
As a character concept artist, I create original and appealing designs for video game characters. I have a keen eye for detail, color, and composition, and I enjoy bringing stories and personalities to life through my art.I graduated from UC Santa Barbara with a BA in Asian Studies in 2022, where I also conducted an explorative study on Korean identity, which was nominated for the Chancellor's Award for Undergraduate Research. In 2023, I enrolled in several courses at CGMA, where I learned from industry veterans and refined my skills in character design, illustration, and digital painting.In May 2024, I founded Thirteenth Month, a new indie studio. My goal was to create opportunity in response to the layoffs seen across the gaming industry. As an immensely talented core team of both juniors and experienced devs, we are working hard to produce a demo for our debut title - Project: You Do Not Exist.Outside of art, I am an activist and volunteer for AAPI Communities. I am also a session musician within Seattle’s music scene, where I have provided electric bass and viola for several talented indie artists and bands.I am extremely passionate about the impact art and gaming can create for communities, and I am always eager to learn new techniques, trends, and styles. Founder & Head Of Design
Founded Thirteenth Month in May 2024. Erin Griesser joined soon after as Co-Founder and Executive Producer.Lead Designer on Project: You Do Not Exist where I essentially oversee all facets of production. I created the GDD for the project, and am continuing to roll out further details with the dev team. I also established our art development pipeline and provided initial concept art for the art team to work with. I am also creating assets for UI and helping with music and SFX.The team meets together on a weekly basis for stand-ups and discuss general inquiries and updates. Thanks to Erin, we are utilizing industry-standard applications such as the Atlassian Suite for project management and assignment organization.
