At Backbase I’ve created myself a challenge to bring my startup experience to a big organization and push Backbase and part of the overall banking industry into the Neo Banking Reality.My goal was to apply same techniques and methodologies which made Peaks a technical success to build the Bank Of The Future.

Together with the founders, I shared the privilege to build one of the biggest FinTech startups in Europe.I was responsible for the entire technology domain: Building the development team and the complete software offering. My challenge was to create an environment where Peaks future could be forged through the use of technology.The micro investments ecosystem (infrastructure, services and apps) was built from scratch using various open source programming languages and software products. The backend architecture is based on micro-services techniques and methodologies.Although Peaks infrastructure is hosted on the cloud, I designed the solution to be cloud provider agnostic, avoiding vendor locking and retaining the possibility for on premises deployment.
