Harald Heiske, German Patentanwalt and European Patent & Trademark Attorney, is Syndikuspatentanwalt and Principal IP Counsel of SIEMENS. Harald holds Master degrees in Computer Science and International Patent Law. He started practicing IP in 1998 and has acted since then in many fields of his profession, including prosecution, licensing, litigation, acquisition, transfer, remuneration, and portfolio management of IPR. Therebefore, he gained 5 years professional experience as a software engineer and team leader in several multinational projects and international standardisation. He has a continuous record of collaboration in various international working groups. Currently, he is chairman of the "Fachreferat Urheberrecht & Software" of VPP, Lead Expert IP & Digital Technology of Siemens, and member of the IPR working group of DigitalEurope, the IPR Special Committee of ETSI, the "Ausschuss für Digitaltechnologie" of the German Patentanwaltskammer, the European Patent Practice Committee (EPPC) technical group ICT and working group GL of epi, and the European Patent Experts' Exchange (EuPEX) e.V. He is author of various articles on the protection, infringement hunting and cross-border enforcement of Digital Technology.
