Since 1998 I like to use light for interaction: What you can touch with your fingers, you can also touch with light. Multi User Pointing with a lot of patents. In 2004 I have founded ILStec to market the technology. I have worked in China from 1993 to 2003 but then decided to return to Germany to avoid being a remote father. The next 12 years I spent my time with first developing and then selling the DOCBOX in Germany and as ACTIFIND in Switzerland. Document Management Systems are boring compared to what we have done at VLS and before. I did never like to sell low quantities at high price, everything below 20.000pcs. per year was unacceptable. But I have learned to succesfully sell push products. In 2016 the time had come to return to Interaction at the Speed of Light. And back to very high quantity production and back to fun. And as father I naturally was interested in eduction now. I have learned Gamification, studied the mesolimbic (reward) pathway, studied the world EdTech market, etc. And learned game marketing from indie studios. And before contacting Logitech, I have read at sentence: At the beginning the mouse was a solution without matching problem. And I begun to understand what Daniel Borel meant. Now my job is to sell the worlds fastest flash detection camera and the pointers and nobody can imagine, why Windows needs more than one mouse! I always liked making interactive cinemas, I liked our motion tracking system at EXPO 2000 and see people being inspired by what is possible using light. We will also make the Interactive Home Cinema for Familiy&Friends and the children can create their own games. But my passion is EdTech and make children say: I want to go to school and not I must go to school.
