NoMo Diagnostics is a company focused on real-time concussion detection for athletes and military personnel. Sport-related concussion is a common mild traumatic brain injury affecting roughly 300,000 young Americans annually. Depending on the sport and group, it is estimated that 5-6 concussions go unrecognized for everyone diagnosed leaving the majority vulnerable to repetitive concussions and increased risk for musculoskeletal injury. Repetitive concussions can lead to chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE) causing significant neurological health issues ranging from mood disorders to dementia. Our technology, incubated at Columbia University through a the Columbia-Coulter Translational Research Partnership through a grant from the Coulter Foundation, will provide an immediate assessment on the field of play or during military conflict via a miniaturized quantitative electroencephalogram (qEEG) with novel biosensor which can be sent to the sideline or military command center through telemetry prompting immediate action by health personnel.

Coordinated the test method and manufacturing validation activities for several hepatitis diagnostic assays on the Abbott AxSYM immunoassay analyzer by authoring and then managing a Validation Master Plan leading to the approval of multiple hepatitis diagnostic PMAs.Performed all aspects of new product development for the AxSYM Hepatitis B diagnostic markers utilizing latest design control practices. These activities included reagent process and test method development, scale up of lab bench processes into manufacturing facilities, authoring manufacturing and testing documents, specifications package development, FDA submission writing and review, and working with the marketing team to develop forecasts for use in establishing inventory needs for launch of new products.
