I'm one of the two co-founders and managing director of sysmocom. At sysmocom we provide custom-tailored mobile communications solutions from the BTS up into the core network. We utliize, improve and customize the Open Source Software we created earlier, such as OpenBSC and OsmoSGSN. One of our first products is a small-formfactor, low-cost, low-power GSM BTS called sysmoBTS

Osmocom is an umbrella project doing Free Software implementations of various telecommunications protocol stacks, including a network-side GSM protocol stack as well as a telephone-side GSM protocol stack called OsmocomBB. This includes MTP2, MTP3, M3UA, SUA, SCCP, TCAP, MAP, CAP, Abis (RSL/OML), A (BSSMAP/BSSAP) and many others.We're also working on a TETRA protocol analyzer as well as a SDR receiver for GMR/Thuraya.

gpl-violations.org is a non-for-profit effort to bring corporate users of GPL licensed Free Software into compliance with the license. It has so far enforced the license more than one hundred times, mostly due to out of court settlements, but sometimes also via preliminary injunctions or other in-court action.I started this project, and it was a one man effort for about two years. Now there are a hand full of volunteers who help out with mostly technical tasks.

openmrtd.org is a project developing Free Software for accessing ICAO MRTD compliant ePassports. This software includes a full ISO 14443-234 A and B stack.
