Started my career as a proof reader in proofreading and content editing in English for the company websites. After four years of experience joined as Assistant professor in the department of Zoology in PSGR Krishnammal College for Women. The main focus is laid on not only teaching and learning , also capturing and systematic presentation of ideas and information, innovative curriculum and development of research based pedagogical tools. Research Projects:FUNDED BY DST-NRDMS: An intensive survey to explore and mapping of medicinal plant resources in Nilgiri District using GIS. To impart training to the tribal women in cultivation of demand based medicinal plants in their fields and preparation of value added products, standardization and to signify the market potential of the products to ensure raising of the socio-economic status of the tribal women. FUNDED BY UGC: A cross-sectional study conducted to assess and visualize the cancer incidence patterns in the western districts of Tamil Nadu. The geo-referenced caner data could prove to be a better mode of public health assessment since the regions of high cancer burden could be easily visualized and further prevention strategies could be implemented.FUNDED BY GRG-TRUST: Biodiversity of butterflies and birds in Niligiri Biosphere Nature Park and conservation aspects of a man-made park
