I was a research intern with the CREST CACHE REU program. I worked in Dr. Pierro Gardinalli's lab, my research was on developing a way to detect microplastics in environmental samples. Along with research experience, we participated in bi-weekly professional development seminars. At the end of the summer, we presented our summer research in a poster symposium.

This was a two year internship that includes research our first year and the second year was an office internship. My research was on how environmental factors affected the fitness of Daphnia. and my second year I was a political outreach intern at the Michigan League of Conservation Voters.
