As a development engineer my typical duties include design of test apparatus and procedures, prototype design, operational testing, and data acquisition and analysis. This includes properly sizing and selecting the equipment necessary for test design in order to meet project guarantees. I also install and test combustion related hardware and equipment for process furnace applications in the test facility. I utilize various chemical and chemiluminescent analyzers to measure pollutants and compounds in the exhaust gas from test equipment. My position requires me to efficiently work with sales, engineering, drafting, and manufacturing departments to complete projects. Additionally, I interact with both domestic and foreign customers when demonstrating products in R&D facility. Upon completion of projects I report data and results through both written reports and technical drawings (2D and some 3D).In October 2012 I was promoted to the position of Senior Development Engineer/Lab Manager. While I still perform the duties of a development engineer I have additional responsibilities. As the lab manager my duty is to oversee the day-to-day operations of the R&D facility including safety, maintenance and personnel. I supervise and instruct lab technicians who perform manufacturing activities related to test requirements. Additionally I mentor development engineers in proper test procedures, data collection and reporting. I also perform administrative duties related to data organization, project assignment, data analysis/review, and cost analysis of customer test requests. This also includes researching and purchasing supplies and equipment necessary to conduct testing and as well as for every day lab operations.

Interned with the building code and engineering division of the Department of Environmental Services of Monroe County, NY. The internship involved aiding in the supervision and oversight of maintenance and construction on county owned properties. One of the main projects under construction was the new LEED Platinum Crime Lab under construction in Rochester, NY.

During the winters worked the front desk of the association's indoor soccer facility during weekends. Tasks included answering the phone, answering patrons questions and maintaining the cleanliness of the facility. During the summers worked as a general maintenance assistant. This involved creating and maintaining soccer fields as well as general facility upkeep. Also during the summer worked as a commissioner for recreational soccer. The purpose of the commissioner is to be the association's representative at the fields. Tasks included setting up the fields each night and taking them down, making sure that all games were started on time and running smoothly, and paying the referees each night. For a week and half time span the executive director of the association was away on vacation. During that time I was placed in charge of the indoor soccer facility. I answered calls, set up rental times and managed the money related to the rentals.
