Sexual Assault Victim Advocate
CurrentProvide support services to victims/witnesses and their families of sexual violence and other victims of violence which may involves dealing with hostile, resistant, and unstable persons, and may result in potentially hazardous situations.Assist in the development and facilitation of support groups for adults and provide client advocacy services; Appear with client(s) in court and assist with protection orders and injunctions for harassment.Arrange for victims to obtain shelter/safe house lodging; maintain client contact during shelter stay and provide transportation services to and from shelter.Communicate with victims/witnesses/families affected by violence, sworn officers, coworkers, management, and personnel from other agencies, courts and public. Maintain contact with social service organizations and other professional to facilitate referrals; Prepare written documents including case reports, memorandums and correspondence.
