I successfully managed one of the largest contracts that SPX Cooling Technologies has at the ExxonMobil refinery in Baytown, Texas. I also planned and executed several projects around Texas, Louisiana, Tennessee, and North Carolina.

I was the supervisor of a team of 10 to 35 unionized employees. Our primary focus was to keep the largest plant for the largest aggregate company in the US running for up to 24 hours a day, 6 days a week. This involved managing employees to effectively accomplish assigned tasks, prioritizing work orders, conducting regularly scheduled maintenance, conducting and tracking preventative maintenance, ordering supplies and tools, maintaining a budget based on seasonal activities, maintaining labor relations, ensuring a safe work environment under the strictest MSHA and company guidelines, communicating effectively with peer supervisors, and maintaining the overall welfare and efficiency of employees under my direct and indirect supervision.

I tested gradations of aggregate blends in respect to Illinois D.O.T. regulations. I also managed customer relations and fielded customer complaints and discrepancies. I conducted field tests and training to ensure proper testing and results were achieved by customers. I monitored plant production and lead trouble-shooting efforts when sample failures occurred. As a QC Technician I had to operate with the utmost integrity as our products and the company name depended on it.
