I am passionate about our civil engineering industry, starting my career in 1999, as a Trainee Technician in the South African Construction market gaining valuable experience in Project Management over the years.I have been actively employed in a variety of roles during my career in the civil contracting industry , moving from Trainee Technician to Project Management, to Business Owner of a Construction Company and back into Project Management and on to an Operational and then Branch Manager in the New Zealand construction market. My experience and background covers from tender preparation and pricing, contract administration, claims management, project and site management, traffic management preparation, senior management of divisions, branch management and all other general contractual requirements within our industry. I have been in Construction Management since 2005 in roles from Project Manager, Senior Project Manager, Construction Manager, Operational Manager and Branch Manager. I am currently the owner of Nehmcon Limited, a Project Management Consulting business, assisting client side on a variety of projects within the Eastern Bay of Plenty.Development of people within any team I work in is of the greatest importance and working towards the same goals is what brings a team together.I am a problem solver and a leader who does not mind getting their hands dirty to get the project over the line. I believe in leading from the front and by example, listening to the people around me to make the load easier to carry.I believe in adding value to every project I am involved with, leaving skills behind while building long lasting relationships with my Clients as well as the Contractors i oversee.
