Central Region Account Manager
CurrentI was recruited to this industry leader in healthcare information technology (open source solutions that combine business and clinical IT functions into a fully integrated and accessible platform) to provide account management expertise for the Veterans Administration (VA). Manage a complex, multi-year sales cycle to sell into individual VA facilities throughout a 15-state region and their up to 20 independent business and healthcare units at each location.Because of the complex and long-term nature of the sales process, building strong customer relationships is vital to the success of DSS. Much of the reason I was selected for this position was my successful track record of performance in managing key account relationships in other unique and challenging sales organizations. In this position, I hold dual responsibilities as both Senior Sales Manager and Top Sales Producer, and am currently leading my region through a period of accelerated growth, expansion, and profitability: • Negotiated and closed $8.4M in new business revenue in 2016, the highest regional revenue in the history of the company. • Closed an additional $4M+ in contract renewals in 2016 to close the year with $12M+ in record-breaking sales.• Delivered 234% of business plan with revenue results totaling 77% of total sales.• Built top-level relationships and secured 3 new sales contracts, including the company’s largest-ever deal.• Personally closed 11 of the 12 PeriOp (#1 product line) sales contracts in the region, increased market share 100%, and delivered 60% of PeriOp product sales nationwide.• In years past, negotiated the first-ever sale of the PeriOp solution and the first-ever multi-site sale in the state of Texas.• Won sales incentive for entire team in 2016 and multiple other sales honors and distinctions.• Introduced new technology products and solutions – clinical decision support tools, perioperative solutions, logistics and inventory management systems – to drive revenue.
