Hareish Gur is a passionate entrepreneur who loves to create value for businesses through disruptive technologies. He has served the world-famous BITS-Pilani Alumni Association (BITSAA International) as the President of Outreach, AIM Alumni Association (India) as the VP and iSPIRT as a Fellow.He is promoter of Servosys Solutions, one of the fastest growing providers of software solutions for process automation, focused on making technology users' life easy. The product and solution creation is targeted at addressing business challenges that come in the way of speed and quality of service delivery (to the end customer), scalability of business, compliance and so on.Before becoming entrepreneur, he served Newgen Software for 17 years in 4 distinct leadership roles, driving the company from its startup days in 1996 to market leadership position in ECM & BPM. The innovative technologies and "core competence" that he built during his first assignment as the Head of R&D, still continue to help that company distinguish itself as one of the top IP creators with multiple patent filings now. Like a goalkeeper, Hareish then went on to transform Newgen from its last line of defense as "R&D Head" to its first line of attack as "Sales Head". He chose to move to the business side in 2004 and took over as the Global Head of Marketing, Vertical Sales, Presales, Alliances, Products & Solutions and Analyst Relations. In 2009, he took over as the Head of Sales at Newgen and continued to deliver gravity-defying growth even as the global economy sputtered after Lehman Brothers collapse then.His unique experience in both tech and business fields makes him a much sought-after leader. He writes columns for prestigious publications like Economic Times, Financial Express, DataQuest, Express Computers, etc. and speaks at international forums, Nasscom events, etc. He's on the Who's Who list of BITS Pilani and AIM Manila alumni. Prior to Newgen, Hareish has had short stints with reputed organizations, viz. BITS, TSEC, VESIT.
