Currently working with NASA's Biological Institutional Scientific Collection (NBISC) to catalog mice samples irradiated with cosmic radiation, received from the Human Research Program (HRP).

• Collaborated with a cross-institutional team (University of Nottingham, Stanford, Berkeley, NASA, etc.) on some exciting bioinformatics research around cross-dataset analyses of dermal transcriptomes aimed at understanding the effects of deep-space exposure. • Developed graphical visualizations (generating volcano & principal component analysis (PCA) plots in Python and R) that have illustrated upregulated/downregulated gene pathways for mice impacted by spaceflight factors!• Published paper on the “Transcriptomics analysis reveals molecular alterations underpinning spaceflight dermatology” to Nature Communications Medicine [https://doi.org/10.1038/s43856-024-00532-9]

Spearheaded the ORCA Network’s branding and marketing, connecting startup founders with VCs for early-stage funding in the Berkeley and Silicon Valley ecosystems.

• Developed a novel query tool to access the NCBI database; outputted over 1000+ query results, accessed over 20+ individual query terms, and identified over 20+ possible targets to be analyzed by Synkrino’s SATIS machine learning platform (including the TWEAK Receptor for Ulcerative Colitis)• Explored applications of transformer-assisted neural networks and pydantic searching for natural language processing of NIH research papers, specifically to glean information about patient diagnosis and test methodology• Conceptualized and experimented to test the accuracy of current Generative AI platforms against the query tool to understand the hallucination rate of current AI solutions to be sent to Synkrino’s clients

• Presented a long-term business strategy (addressing the themes of space commercialization while bettering humanity) to Blue Origin sales executives.• Identified four new markets for Blue Origin: education of space technologies for talent acquisition, international partnerships to accelerate manufacturing and operations, space cloud computing infrastructure (for Google & Amazon), and other tourism opportunities (i.e. space hotels, movie & brand partnerships, etc.)• Demonstrated potential cost-benefit proposals to ensure long-term profitability while de-risking short-term costs over the next 3 years by developing financial projections and cash flows.

• Assisted ZeroUI’s pivot from robotics to software, designing the backend for Ziro Studio to better align with the target audience.• Developed new biology modules in Ziro Studio, including a game-like heart simulation and Python-based genetic simulations, engaging over 200+ users.• Presented to 300+ students and industry professionals (Google, Stanford, UC Berkeley, X the Moonshot Factory) at ZeroUI workshops & Beta Launch, collaborating with organizations like Google, Prep4Prep, and PA Stem.

Studied neural responses to haptic-sensor cues (stretch, twist, vibrate), exoskeleton testbeds, and VR/AR applications at Rice University's MAHI Lab scribed weekly meetings, and played around with designing open-source wearables with SNAPTICS 3D printable haptic systems.

• Visualized and analyzed the GLDS-238 Dataset for the transcriptomic changes within Mus musculus exposed to spaceflight, performed an extensive literature review on 20+ studies to determine diet's impact on immune system inflammation.•Discovered a novel link between β-fructooligosaccharides and specific genes (Col1A1, Col1A2, Col3A1) in the Heparan Sulfate Proteoglycan pathway (leading to tumorigenesis); developed an experiment to test this correlation under microgravity and partial gravity conditions.• Presented research at ASGSR 2021 (Baltimore), awarded $1000 in grant funding, and networked with 200+ NASA professionals and interns -- featured on NASA and ASGSR social media.

Selected as a live student speaker at JHU's GHLC conference, presented systems thinking solutions for global health infrastructure challenges to over 100 students and researchers

• Conducted a detailed systems thinking literature review and identified multiple case studies (neuroscience, oncology, and business) at NASA’s Intelligent Systems Division. • Conceptualized experiments, leveraging pre-trained machine learning models to test prebiotic chemical pathways across different gravity/temperature/pressure variances, with findings presented in an internal NASA review.

Developed ZeroUI’s flagship biology curriculum for their experiential learning MOOC platform, leveraging Ziro robotics kits and creating 6 novel models for an evolutionary biology course. Deployed the course online, boosting site traffic, and presented at 5+ conferences to 300+ industry experts and investors.

Job shadowed at Dr. Dale Pearlman’s dermatology clinic, learned medical terminology, assisted with patient care, performed differential diagnoses, and discussed tech-driven automation methods for medical practices.
