Leading a common security infrastructure team to deliver J2EE security components (JAAS modules), SAML, WS-Security, certificate and 2-phase authentication. Responsible for team developing a Web Services Integrator product. Led crucial Proof-of-Concept effort with GM, VolksWagen, Covisnt to achieve market acceptance. Based on successful proof-of-concept at JavaOne, General Motors proposing it as internal reference platform for SOA. Initial revenue of $1 million used at UK's National Programme for Information Technology (NPfIT) - the world's largest civil IT project at the time.

Conceptualized and prototyped Sybase Enterprise Application Server – a crucial and strategic entry for Sybase into the J2EE application server vendor space. Led the evangelization of the product internally and externally with presentations to the CEO and to potential Wall Street and Banking customers. Hands-on contribution by developing the initial version of the transaction manager using design patterns and object oriented design in C++/Java. Also set up the initial build system for the entire product including source control and Ant and distribution scripts.Led the initial release of the product and subsequently managed the team responsible for the core transaction manager. Brought to market and assisted the first few sales of the Application Server to initial customers. Was Instrumental to the initial success of the product with revenues reaching $3 million a year soon after release and later $10 million a year.
