 Receiving inspection, MTC review, MTC verification & documentation of all incoming materials (purchased & free issued) such as Plates, Structural items, pipes & pipe fittings, welding & all type of valves. Verification of calibration Records for Welding Machine and other inspection tools before fabrication activities. Maintaining record of welder qualification, calibration of welding machine and electrode ovens. Witnessing all stages of fabrication activities such as marking, cutting, fit-up, welding & final inspection as per the approved ITP & Project Specifications. Conducting tool box talk for fabricators, welders. Witnessing non-destructive tests & Review of NDT reports.  Radiographic film interpretation. Preparation & Checking the hydrostatic test packages for NDT compliance prior to testing Witnessing hydrostatic pressure test as per approved ITP, Procedures & in accordance with ASME B31.3. Witnessing/conducting of welder qualifications testing as per ASME sec IX & Preparing the Welder Certificates.  Review WPS/PQR as per project specification, review repair procedure, welding internal cleaning and flux control. Monitoring filler & electrode storage condition, review batch certificates, calibration of electrode oven. Review welder’s qualification, thickness range, process etc. Monitoring welding process such as SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, SAW and FCAW. Recording and listing of defective welds & Witnessing any remedial repair welding Preparation of radiographic schedules, interpretation of films and reviewed rejected films prior to repair and coordinate with welders for the exact defect locations as well as the extent of repair to be done.

 Review of Project Quality Documents, procedures, inspection plans & formats Fit-up inspection of modified plates and pipes. Visual examination for welded joints. Verification of electrode issuing, baking and re-baking records. Verification of calibration certificates for ovens welding generators measuring tools and equipment’s. Monitoring welding activities done as per WPS (ensure the proper preheat, inter-pass temperature, heat input values). Preparation of radiographic schedules, interpretation of films and reviewed rejected films prior to repair and coordinate with welders for the exact defect locations as well as the extent of repair to be done. Witness PWHT for the welded joints & review of reports. Witness for hardness test. Radiographic film interpretation and QC documentation
