Coordinated stack testing and reporting activities for the USEPA at E.I. DuPont de Nemours and Company, Inc., Victoria plant and B.P. Chemicals, Inc., Green Lake Complex to develop data to perform preliminary screening of risks to human health and the environment, posed by the Boiler and Industrial Furnaces (BIF) located in USEPA Region 6 and to evaluate the compliance status of the BIF facilities with applicable RCRA interim status or permitted operating requirements.Reviewed and provided comments to the USEPA on several trial burn plans and quality assurance project plans prepared specifically for demonstrating compliance with 40 CFR Part 270.66 and for gathering data to determine the health risk posed by the BIF units when operating under normal conditions.Provided the oversight of trial burn tests—Destruction and Removal Efficiency (DRE) trial burn and risk trial burn—of several BIF units at BASF Corporation; Dupont Dow Elastomers, L.L.C.; Rubicon, Inc.; Exxon Chemical Company; and Georgia Gulf Corporation for the USEPA, Region 6. Provided air permitting and regulatory support to The Earthgrains Company and Metz Baking Group with responsibilities including assisting these companies in classification of their facilities as major, minor or synthetic minor sources, keeping track of developments in the Title V permit program in 23 states in which their facilities are located, ensuring timely preparation and submission of their permit applications and providing regulatory support and interface between these facilities and regulatory agencies. Conducted an ISCST3 air dispersion modeling to verify compliance of Hawthorne Army Depot Main Base with Nevada Department of Environmental Protection (NDEP) ambient air quality standards that are provided in Nevada Administrative Code (NAC) 445B.391, and with the National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS) that are provided in 40 CFR Part 50.
