I've had a short stretch in the localization industry at a company that carries out the last-mile processes for most of the shows and movies you enjoy watching. I functioned there as an Editor/Subtitler in the editorial department.Now, out of that job it is all about adding value and growing professionally to be a much more multi-faceted individual. The path is to be open to learning newer things that make me valuable in the field (Journalism and Visual Media) I want to spend my time.The way forward is to be good at the things that I admire so I can add real value and in that journey find my voice.Now, I am not an active voice on the Internet. I would regard myself as more of a sponge on the Internet, if I find something that catches my interest I am likely to go down that rabbit hole to make sure I know everything about it. The idea is to go beyond the first search Maybe this act of being a crawler on the Internet is the that it's holding me back from finding my voice. So, most upskilling opportunities I put myself through are about trying to build proof-of-work and seeking spaces where collaborations are the go-to because that is how you build taste, or at least that is what I believe.
