As team member, was to extract the mid surface and editing of the surfaces in CATIA, import the same to PATRAN for meshing. After meshing, Geometry checks like the element connectivity, normal’s etc according to the quality standards. Application of the composite properties was done using PATRAN and the model was used for carrying out analysis and computation of margin of safety. Worked on stress analysis of drag attachment bracket which is used to connect wing and fuselage parallelly, finite element modeling of drag attachment bracket using Hypermesh as pre and post processor and solving using Nastran as a solver for Stress Analysis. The results were documented for further study.
