A professional with three decades of experience in the Indian non-life insurance industry, I’ve worked across various organisations in different capacities and functions including underwriting, risk management, reinsurance and claims. Was a member of Property Underwriter's Forum and Marine Underwriters Forum of General Insurance Council, the industry body of General Insurers in India. Have served in different committees on technical subjects constituted by the Council involving development of market standard wordings, clauses and codes of practice. Was a member of the Insurance Committee of Bombay Chamber of Commerce and Industry and served in the Examination Committee of the Insurance Institute of India. Currently, I’m a member of Kerala Management.Served as President of International Association of Engineering Insurers (IMIA) for the year 2013. Actively involved with the Association in its pursuit of promotion of Engineering Insurance across the world thru contributions to its newsletters, generation of statistics and authoring technical papers. Currently, I am associated with working group and committees constituted by Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDA).I’m passionate about knowledge sharing - to demystify non-life insurance and make it more customer friendly. I tend to discover something each day about non life insurance that I didn’t know despite spending much time in the industry. Serves to remind me that my learning is never complete.
