The goal of the Consumer project is to migrate the functionality of the legacy system using Java EE technologies.Accomplishments: 1. Developed RESTful web service that runs on an Jetty server farm.2. Developed SOAP based web service that runs on IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS8).3. Developed Spring JMS container and MDP listeners.4. Created a database audit tool to verify the integrity of the data stored in two databases (prod vs sidecar). The audit tool runs on a UNIX server and generates HTML reports.5. Created an RTL (Register Transfer Level) template that can support context switching within a control-data flow graph.2. Developed a novel technique to calculate the footprint of a circuit on heterogeneous FPGAs.3. Developed a front-end compiler tool using Lex and Yacc tools to interpret the user input and represent it in different visual formats using Graphviz.4. Designed and developed an architecture exploration algorithm in Java to generate context adaptable architectures for FPGAs, using the new RTL template.5. Developed heuristic scheduling, resource selection, and binding algorithms.6. Achieved an average savings of 46% in silicon footprint and speed.

Worked as a ‘Media Software Engineer’ to develop a Motion Compensation kernel for H.264 video decoder.Accomplishments:1. Studied the performance of Intel’s compiler developed for the Larrabee® architecture. 2. Evaluated the performance of the compiler by comparing the execution time (in clock cycles) of the compiled code and the hand optimized assembly code.3. Identified limitations of the compiler in generating the assembly code, which if addressed, would increase the compiler efficiency by at least 35%.
