The USAID- Nepal Karnali Water Activity is working with Local Government and communities at the watershed level through strengthened water and sanitation governance that improves water resource management, enhances sustainable access to drinking water, improves agriculture water management, and reduces the fecal pathogen burden in the environment from poorly managed sanitation. The program methodically integrate WRM, watershed biodiversity conservation and water, sanitation service delivery by mapping and strengthening the roles, connections and capacities of key actors & stakeholders system.• Support to establish quality control and quality standard protocols for survey, design, estimation, construction, testing and commissioning, maintaining environmental compliance of water infrastructures like Water Supply (WS), Multiple Use System (MUS), Source Protection (SP) and FSTPs. • Ensure that Feasibility Study, detailed engineering survey and designs with quality standards. • Carry out/review the design, drawing, estimation, and tender/bid document for DWS/MUS/SPs.• Conduct quality monitoring and supervision of the construction material and works in the field.• Ensure that environmental assessments are conducted as required by USAID to prepare an EMMP. Accordingly assure the execution of environmental compliance.• Mobilize, support, mentor and coach Field Engineers(FEs)/Sub Engineers(SEs) to ensure the quality of construction of DWS/MUS, testing and commissioning of constructed schemes and oversight of the overall management of contractor by extending support to the other technicians.• Provide continuous technical orientation, guidance, and instructions to FEs and SEs for undertaking Feasibility Study, Detail Engineering Survey, Detail Design and Estimate Report preparation and Construction Supervision Works for the schemes.• Support for developing O&M plan, Water Safety Plan (WSP), SOP, and business plan for sustaining the projects constructed.

Rural Village Water Resource Management Project III was a jointly funded project from Government of Nepal, Finland & European Union on the sector of water resources in Far Western & Karnali Province from March 2016 to June 2022. Project worked on water resources management infrastructures keeping the four major result area as the target - i) Water supply Sanitation & Hygiene(WASH) ii) Sustainable Livelihood, iii) Institutional Capacity building, iv) Climate Change Adaptation & Disaster Risk Reduction & Microfinance & GESI/HRBA as cross cutting. It implemented the project activities through the local government & WASH Unit for the user.A. Planning & Implementation• Facilitate to prepare annual work plan(AWP) of RM sub-project & assist RMs for water related plans, programs.• Prepare bi-monthly progress report for the donor including Water Resources Development Fund status.• Assist RMs to implement overall AWP with ensuring their matching funds.• Support the preparation of agreements among stakeholders for various phases of scheme implementation.• Assist to organize joint campaigns in sector of environment, sanitation & others as per requirement.B. Capacity Enhancement, Monitoring & Evaluation• Assess the existing capacity & identify needs for further institutional support & capacity building of sector actors.• Facilitate RMs & partner execute the professional development plans & conduct appropriate capacity enhancement activities at RM WASH unit staffs, User at RM & district level. • Ensure adherence & implementation of Project guidelines, SBS procedure & GESI Strategy at all levels.• Facilitate scheme & RMs level monitoring; following performance evaluation of partner & RMs to establish the monitoring system.• Support in preparation of WSP++ & mainstream climate change and disaster risk reduction plans into RM-level planning.• Improve working guidelines & manuals to be user friendly (at partner, RM & UC level).

The Beacon Project is a municipality Wide equitable WASH Services in Lahan: A joint initiative of Anglian Water, WaterAid and Nepal Water Supply Corporation (NWSC). It had created a unique opportunity to bring together the UK water company Anglian Water through its philanthropic support, WaterAid, NWSC & Municipality to fulfill its commitment to make rights to water and sanitation by developing sustainable approach to municipality-wide water and sanitation provision. The aim of the Beacon Project was to ensure that the people of Lahan, including the marginalized, vulnerable communities and schools, have sustainable & equitable access to safe water, improved sanitation & hygiene contributing to their well-being, health & dignity.Key responsibilities:• Support in Managing and strengthening the capacity of NWSC to accelerate the progress by complying with the commitments.• Support in identifying capacity gaps of the partner organization for strengthening their system & procedures; thereby to accelerate the project progress.• Support in Monitoring, supervising in quality assurance of the works undertaken in line with Result's Framework.• Support in the procurement process with technical specification preparation & review to face vendors during the procurement process.• Support in ensuring the technical database updated regarding NWSC's Water resources, water treatment, water quality, pipeline networks & connections etc.• Support partners to provide technical backstopping to optimize existing NWSC water supply network system & safe WQ with gradual progress from DMA to DMA approach in the existing networks system.• Support partner organization (NWSC) in technical aspects in the identified activities under respective project components network, water quality, water treatment & water resources. • Support partners in extending water services to communities as appropriate in relation to the extension of networks & existing systems through technical backstopping.

Rural Village Water Resource Management Project III was jointly funded project from Government of Nepal, European Union & government of Finland on the sector of water resources from March 2016. During this tenure, I was successfully handled the managerial role in the district as Acting Water resources Advisor (WRA) role for more than ten months’ time as decided by the project management.Key responsibilities: A. Technical• Contribute to development & supervision of technical aspects of the different development project activities Rural Water Supply and Sanitation projects, Multiple Use System (MUS), irrigation, Spring-shed improvement, Point sources improvement projects.• Provide technical support to the projects as needed.• Develop further appropriate rural technologies and systems which can be planned, designed, built, and maintained by UCs and Rural Municipality.• Contribute directly to the technical & capacity building training.B. Monitoring • Provide technical support to the district projects as needed.• Coordinate and monitor technical training.• Contribute to project monitoring to ensure technical quality & timely completion of the projects.• Support the continued research and development of various appropriate technologies applied in the project.• Analyze the lessons learnt with the various technology choices in the project (technically and working approach) and contribute to the various progress reports and studies. C. Capacity Enhancement• Support water quality related activities, including development of Water Safety Plans and related training & IEC materials.• Provide advice and support to develop and implement Water Safety Plans.• Support preparation of Water Safety plans, and mainstream climate change and disaster risk reduction into WUMPs.Others • Participate Rural Municipality and Scheme level monitoring as project representatives.• Improve working guidelines and manuals to be user friendly (at Partner, RM and UC level).

Rural Village Water Resource Management Project Phase II was one of the successful projects jointly funded by Government of Finland & Government of Nepal on the result area of WASH, Livelihood & institutional capacity building in the ten districts of mid & far western region of Nepal. Project implemented on water resources management infrastructures & activities of Drinking water supply, Sanitation, irrigation, Micro-hydro & IWM in combine with livelihood activities, Microfinance and GESI ascross cutting. It implemented the project activities through local government DDC,VDC with the support of partner organization in the user’s committee. Key responsibilities: • Support in program planning, monitoring, and reporting of the different development project activities of all districts.• Involve in program sharing, development linkage and coordination with other government line agencies, INGOs, Local bodies and capacity building of stakeholders at district level (D-WASHCC, Partner/SPs, V-WASHCC, WCF, UCs).• Responsible for preparation and reporting of Annual, bi-annual, trimester and monthly planning/progress (Physical, Financial) report for the project to the DoLIDAR, MoFALD & the donor Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Finland.• Technical Monitoring, Supervision & implementation of the project activities as per project implementation guideline & government rules and regulation.• Support National Project Coordinator to conduct the Steering committee meeting & Supervisory board meeting and other meeting/visits with stakeholders.• Monitoring of technical norms, working norms, Step by Step (SBS) procedure, technical manuals that to be followed by the district & the Users in the field.• Support to conduct the project’s workshops, seminar, trainings, interaction, orientation, and field visits/monitoring etc. in the project areas by the high-level teams as per instructions from the National Project Coordinator.

Radha Structure & Engineering Works was a private company work in the field of construction of Steel Bridges, tower, truss structure, hydro-power and industrial structures. Key responsibilities: • Ensure quality and timely implementation of bridges (motor able, trail, suspension), micro-hydro, towers; oversee the development of detailed project work plan.• To check the drawing (design with shop) & prepare the rate analysis, cost-estimate, erecting methodology, sequence of erecting & safety measures consideration in the project design reports & checklist of the project and coordinates field execution of these projects. • Supervise & ensure the quality of materials, fabrications, Galvanization, test assembling according to the design drawings & make modification according to site conditions. • Ensure appropriate M & E of activities, data collection & analysis and update the schedules according to the field condition.• Oversee site-based staffs, subordinates, overall documentation, and monthly reporting. • Liaise, coordinate and regular reporting of project activities with relevant officials Government (DDC/DTO, DoLIDAR/DOR) & other stakeholders clients during the implementations and final bill preparations.
