tldr- Interested in learning about and contribute to Sustainability and Decarbonisation of Chemical/ Energy sector. Working as a Process Engineer in CPCL (IOC) refinery. I have varied industrial (Refinery, Pharmaceutics, Process Design and Lifecycle assessment) and research experience (IITB, IITM, MITACS @Queen's Uni).I am interested in Process engineering and Sustainability consulting/ LCA/ Decarbonisation roles. I am motivated to a sustainable industry, growth and a green world.Recent book which engrossed me-The World for Sale by Jack Farchy and Javier Blas. It's an amazing read showing a glimpse into the world of commodity traders and how crude, metals and grains travel across countries.GATE exam qualified 2024- Rank 707.Starting my internship journey with a refinery, I gained research experience in Bioengineering at India's top labs at IITB (Proteomics, web development) and IITM (Metabolic engineering) and gaining a multicultural exposure at Queen's University, Canada on plastic microbial upcycling, I have then explored the field of LCA and Process Design at Green Story and SABIC. This was where I got piqued by Sustainability, Carbon capture and Techno-economic evaluation.I know a bit of coding (Python, MATLAB, SQL) and am learning LCA (GaBi, OpenLCA, carbon credits). At SABIC, I could explore cost estimation and project scheduling during the development of Process Design Package. I am currently working on my Master's thesis on Aspen simulation of Carbon capture using Adsorption system.Industrial finance and sustainable investing is another area which has caught my interest. Adaptable, problem solver, quick learner, curious and level-headed is how I would describe myself.
Listed skills include Metabolic Engineering, Snapgene, Cobra, Metaboanalyst, and 30 others.
