Project Engineer
Current• Design and develop electrical systems, including earth grids, power factor correction systems, HV/LV switchboards, MCC panels, and distribution boards, per AS 61439.1 and AS 3000. • Control system designs and prepare the complete package for MCC panels. • Conduct power studies: Utilize advanced software tools for power system analysis, design, and simulation. o Conduct fault studies and protection studies. o Conduct arc flash studies utilising IEEE 1584. o Perform risk assessments and implement robust safety strategies per AS 31000 and NFPA 70E guidelines. o Conduct load flow studies for the entire mine site and field machines to determine electrical network reliability. • Conduct comprehensive earth grid and lightning protection audits to ensure full compliance with AS 1768 and AS 3007. • Execute feasibility studies and planning to deliver projects on time and within budget. • Ensure regulatory compliance through regular inspections and audits. • Draft, review, and ensure the accuracy and clarity of all technical documentation, including offer documents, reports, specifications, and scopes of work. • Collaborate with clients to develop tailored electrical solutions. • Supervise the installation and commissioning of electrical systems, ensuring adherence to all applicable standards and safety regulations. • Lead and mentor engineering teams, ensuring all projects meet established timelines and quality standards. • Communicate effectively with all stakeholders to ensure project success and compliance.
