As a driven sophomore at Carnegie Mellon University, I am currently pursuing a double major in Finance and Statistics, combining my passion for numbers, data analysis, and the financial markets. My academic journey is characterized by a relentless pursuit of knowledge, and the drive to understand the interplay between statistical models and their practical implications in the financial world.Recently, I had the unique opportunity to participate in the Summer Insights Program at Quant Edge, a leading quantitative finance firm. Here, I had hands-on experience in portfolio balancing, model building, risk management, market-making activities, and dynamic portfolio management. My academic knowledge came alive as I worked on optimizing portfolio weights, building financial models using extensive daily return data, and learning the mathematics behind risk premiums and CAGR maximization. Furthermore, my programming skills were put to test when I wrote Python scripts to adjust portfolio weights based on rolling volatility and daily returns.The combination of my rigorous academic training and real-world finance experience have equipped me with a solid foundation in quantitative analysis, portfolio management, and risk management.
