Additive manufacturing of Reconfigurable structuresPursued my Research Internship under Dr. Sampada Bodkhe, Assistant Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, École Polytechnique de Montréal. Worked on Additive Manufacturing of Reconfigurable structures. 3D printed Soft Electromagnetic actuators (SEMA) using FormLabs Form3 SLA printer. Designed CAD models of test stage, palette, stackable storage bins, moulds and stencil for printing SEMA using the FDM printed moulds. Prepared PEI samples of different concentrations by Ball milling. Printed those PEI samples by DIW method.

Geometric Modeling of Thin MaterialsPursued my Research Internship under the guidance of Dr. Harpreet Singh, Assistant Professor, School of Mechanical Sciences, IIT Goa in “Geometric Modelling of Thin Materials”. Designed Parametric, Implicit and Explicit Developable surfaces in MATLAB. Constructed a developable surface using the isometric constraints for Finite curved crease in an Infinite Isometric sheet. I successfully constructed the crease curve, the inner surface and, the outer surface with discontinuity.

Mechanical Metamaterials with Negative stiffnessCollected and reviewed articles for literature review and learned Materials with Negative Stiffness and their applications, Mechanical Metamaterials with Negative Stiffness and their application in Seismic Protection of structures, and Experiments to test seismic behaviour of the Metamaterial. Designed BCC and BCCZ lattices in AutoDesk Inventor and analyzed the lattices in ABAQUS (Dynamic, Explicit).

Handled the Registration, Fee payment, and queries of the Participants of the Symposium.

Publicised Synergy’20 - National level Technical symposium of Mechanical Engineering Department in NITT, in Engineering colleges in Madurai region and contributed towards a total footfall of 2,011 students.

Training involved:• Testing specimens for Mechanical strength using UTM (50 kN,200 kN and 1000 kN) and Impact test machines (Charpy and Izod) • Chemical analysis in CS analyser, ONH gas analyser, OES, ICP-OES and Thermal ageing • Microstructure analysis, Casing depth evaluation, Grain size determination, Hardness testing (Vickers, Micro-Vickers) • Civil testing: Sieve test, Water absorption test, Load test • Prepared ASTM standard specimens (A370, E23) for tests in Machining shop by turning, milling, and grinding.
