• Worked with the Supply chain team to implement Checkpoint functionality in S/4HANA. Subsequent initiatives include business process and solution design review of OKRs for Customer to Cash workstream to realize RoI on existing investments. The latest initiative was to implement multiple solutions to reduce DSO. • Worked with the Finance team on the definition and implementation of a finance transformational roadmap for decommissioning legacy systems, build a global unified data lake using Snowflake integrating existing SAP and third-party systems, and plan for S/4HANA migration of finance functionality. New use case definition and intake of 40+ upcoming initiatives were in play after the initial implementation of the finance book of business using Data Lake built on Snowflake and integrating with AWS Cloud architecture. The latest initiative is a reporting and planning integration with the Data Lake and OneStream which is in-flight.• Prior to the Data Lake initiative, Hari was guiding the reporting team to gather and document business requirements, define out of the box and custom reporting solutions over multiple phases of go-live for a large program that involves migration to S/4HANA and SAP SOM and decommissioning of several legacy systems in a phased manner.

Hari was responsible for the design and delivery of Business Analytics in RTR and TM and the design, build and delivery of Advertisement and Promotional Spend Planning. The client implemented S/4HANA for running business processes and IBPf for business planning. The project had multiple waves of go-live in 2017 and 2018 and enhancements to roll out business functionality across existing business segments including new business acquisitions.Hari also helped with subject matter expertise for SAP BPC Consolidations and with improving system performance of BPC functions.

Responsible for marketing, pre-sales, and product development

Hari was hired to lead the design, build and implementation of the Corporate Allocations Solution for the Management Chart using SAP technology to replace a legacy solution called In$ight. Hari initially created two prototypes to demonstrate the various solution options using BW on HANA and BPC on HANA. Hari then designed and managed the build and test of the entire application solution using BW as the back-end, HANA for the allocation engine and UI5 for screens where users can interact to enter and manage master and set-up data, drivers and exclusions for cost allocation and execute the allocation engine. The allocation results were then integrated with the existing planning solution in BPC and the fixed charges posted from the allocation run back to ECC as below-the-line actuals. The implementation also helped retire other legacy solutions used for integrating volume information used for generating the allocation drivers. The robust and scalable solution not only helped speed up the business process improving allocation run times by a factor of 10 but also provided visibility and improved analytical capabilities for slicing and dicing data at granular levels never done before this project. This was also the largest UI5 implementation at the Bank which was completely designed by Hari and was embraced by the business for its ease of use and user interactivity. This high visibility well praised solution went live in October 2016 and was implemented in a record 8 months and under budget using a combination of waterfall and agile implementation methodologies with multi-vendor onsite, and offshore resources.

The scope of the project at this utility company included the design and build of a HR headcount plan combined with a detailed employee level time-sheet plan resulting in a detailed payroll plan which was then integrated with a non-payroll plan defined at a granular level of WBS element/Internal order. The BPC solution also involved the delivery of a checkbook solution and a driver based-plan for a designated business unit, which was integrated with the mainstream payroll/spend plan. Reporting would be delivered using EPM and BEx reporting on EPM models.Hari as the Solution Architect was a key member of the Project Management Office involved from pre-planning stage until the Build and test of the solution. Hari was instrumental in defining the plan and approach to conduct blueprint sessions, gather, record and refine requirements, define scope, create the technical design and manage a team of technical consultants to build the business solution using SAP BPC 10.0 NW on HANA. The solution replaces an existing BW-IP solution/ excel spreadsheets and would be rolled out to 500 users by the end of 2015.

Hari is the BPC Integration lead for this global planning and consolidation project for the bottling operations of this Fortune 100 CPG Company. The project proposes to deliver a global planning solution to bottlers and improve the accuracy and performance of the planning process and integrate with actual consolidated data using SAP BPC.

Hari as the BPC subject matter expert delivered an expense planning solution including headcount costs globally across more than 100 countries. The project used SAP BPC on HANA and is the largest ever SAP BPC on HANA project as of date. The challenges in the project include the need for sub-second performance on very large data volumes (1 billion) and using very large dimensions (1.2 m members) which will be rolled out to 4000 users globally. Hari worked with the performance SWAT team comprising of SAP development team from France, and SAP BPC development team from Shanghai to scale the system to meet the performance expectations.The project went live in Feb 2013 on BPC NW 10.0 SP08 / EPM add-in SP13 patch 3 and HANA rev 50. The success story of HP was showcased at SAPPHIRE 2013.

Hari was instrumental in helping CareFusion transition their financial and management consolidation processes consequent to their divestiture from Cardinal Health using SAP BPC for NetWeaver. Hari implemented the consolidation processes and the integration components with profit center planning to meet the legal, tax and management reporting requirements. Post divestiture, Hari helped with the rapid implementation of workforce planning and analytics, cost center planning including allocation of costs and capital expense planning. Hari’s leadership and subject matter expertise was key to timely project completion with zero-defect thereby eliminating post-implementation support and related costs.

Lead a cross functional and multi-vendor team to implement and integrate Account Planning and Promotional Planning with SAP BPC, SAP CRM and SAP APO. The solution is the first of its kind in the industry using SAP BPC implemented with innovative solutions including the use of Excel 2010 ribbons, on-the fly master data creation and updates and integration/reconciliation of TPM data with BPC.

As a practice leader, Hari also helped with corporate branding, hiring talent and share thought leadership and subject matter expertise at SAP events and conferences.Clients include Nike, Kimberly Clark, Celanese Corp., Jabil, Sony Pictures Entertainment, Miller Brewing, Coors Brewing, Grainger, SPX, Discovery Communications, Johnsonville Sausage, and Warner Bros.

Hari sold, project managed and successfully delivered large SAP BI projects for several Fortune 500 corporations in various industries including apparel and footwear, CPG, financial services, manufacturing and media. Clients include Nike, Owens Corning, Volkswagen Bank AG, Germany, SAP AG, Germany, and Kellogg.

Hari worked in the Corporate office for three years on project bidding and development and setting up partnership and collaboration with foreign companies. Hari established consortium arrangements with global corporations including Pacific Power Pty Ltd, from Australia and IJM Corporation Berhad, and submitted and won bids for infrastructure projects with various federal agencies. Hari joined the SAP division in 1998 and was the functional lead managing the entire team of SAP consultants. Hari specialized in SAP FI-CO and IS- Retail and implemented several SAP projects using the on-site off-shore model. Hari moved to the U.S. to work as the on-site Project Manager for an automotive parts manufacturer in 2000.
