I am an architect and urbanist based in Athens. My work sits at the intersection of architecture, place-making and urban public policy. I have been drawing on Athens as an urban laboratory to develop urban and social innovation prototypes addressing a range of challenges that emerge today in cities. I am an international city expert working with the European Union, the European Commission, the EU Urban Agenda and other national or global organizations helping cities and institutions to implement complex innovation initiatives that address diverse thematic priorities and challenges. My expertise lies in developing integrated, place-based solutions and engaging a wide range of stakeholders with co-creation processes. In the previous years I had been leading several government and urban innovation programs in collaboration with the City of Athens and other major international organisations and institutions helping Athens relaunch its post-crisis strategy and become a role-model for social innovation receiving numerous international awards (Eurocities Innovation Award 2016, European Capital of Innovation 2018). I have taught urban design as adjunct professor at the University of Patras, School of Architecture. I hold a Master in Architecture from Harvard University, Graduate School of Design (M.Arch II) and a Diploma of Architecture from the University of Patras in Greece.www.harisbiskos.com
