Hi there, I'm Haris 👋I'm currently a founding research engineer at Voaige, where we build generalist AI for robotics. My research in deep learning has played a key role in the design of our product, DeepSpace, which is already operating real industrial robots.I hold a Master's in Artificial Intelligence and Innovation from Carnegie Mellon, where I structured my degree around my love of theoretical and mathematical rigor, taking courses in optimization, graphical/generative models, and reinforcement learning among others. I had also contributed to projects in reliable, fair, and ethical machine learning and natural language processing that have been accepted in venues such as EMNLP and AAAI.I am driven as much by the sense of awe and wonder that comes from scientific discovery as the impact my work can make.
