I have more than 13 years of research cum academic experience of which more than 9 years as Scientist at National Physical Laboratory, India (NPLI), which is the National Metrology Institute of the country. I have been a metrologist and active area of interest is force measurement. Simultaneously, I am also working regarding the development of Watt Balance in order to provide linkage of the definition of kilogram to the Planck constant. I have completed Ph. D. (Mechanical Engineering) with functional area of force measurement in 2015. The work has been able to deliver the development of many simple shaped force transducers in addition to critical assessment of existing simple shaped force transducers in terms of design, practical viability and uncertainty of measurement related issues. There have been some of the publications reported in notable journal like Measurement, Measurement Science and Technology, ISA Transactions, Transactions of the Institute of Measurement and Control etc in addition to the journals of repute from India like Journal of Scientific and Industrial Research, Indian Journal of Pure and Applied Physics, Current Science, Mapan - Journal of Metrology Society of India etc during the recent years. I have been serving as a reviewer for many of the notable journals mentioned above and has been member of the editorial board for some of the peer reviewed journals. I have been member of international program committee of the symposium "Measurement 2015" held every two years in Slovakia by Institute of Measurement Science in addition to reviewer board member of many conferences. I also have been working since 2014 regarding ongoing efforts to indigenous develop Watt balance for 1 kg (SI unit of mass) to provide linkage with Planck constant. In this way, dependency of definition of kilogram over the artifact kept at BIPM / respective country serving as International prototype of kilogram / National prototype of kilogram.
Listed skills include R&D, Metrology, and Mechanical Measurements.
