I joined Canon Inc. the 28$ Billion Company (Then in 1996) commencing its Indian operations in July 1996. This was the most rewarding phase in my career, as I was rewarded with the the joy of creation, the challenge of consolidation and the sweet fruit of toil. Qualified for 2 Grand Slam trips to Bangkok, Australia. These were awarded for being the Best Sales person at the Regional & National level. By Mid of1999 I found an opportunity with the worlds 8th largest telecom company Telstra The 21 Billion US$ company, Telstra offered me the much awaited exposure for project sales of large telecom networks and working with various system integrator, consultative sales to large Strategic accounts, Government & corporate companies During this tenure i won certain key telecom/IT projects from national accounts, Got involved in formulating SLA (Service level agreements) for various categories’ of customers based on revenueBy early, 2003 I wanted to gain international exposure & joined a knowledge solution company, as Country Manager to head operations for sales in Qatar. The responsibilities included managing the operation and making Qatar an profit centre, with this given opportunity i could transform Qatar operation for highest profitability within the global operations of the company, got promoted to Head-Business Development for Middle east sales & large projects effective December 2007.In 2012 i felt a need to look at a different vertical for professional exposure & manage a larger paradigm of verticals which involve consultative sales in IT/ITES, product engineering ,IOT, smart city projectsI would be eager to discuss & interact within the group at Linkedin which would enhance my horizon further.Specialties: Sales Management, managing P&L, Large account management, Government sales, people practice, operational
