The work of the Social Secretary coordinates all the Social Clubs of the Institute. The Secretary also heads the Social Council of the Institute, the body which is responsible for all the Social Activities that are carried out by the Institute.

The NSS wing of NIT Trichy conducts various social activities, predominantly in the five adopted villages of NIT Tiruchirappalli.

Worked on two projects under the guidance of Dr S Venugopal, Associate Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore as a part of the Summer Fellowship Programme (SFP-2019). The first project focused on the synthesis of Gold, Silver and Bimetallic (Core-Shell) nanoparticles by reducing the metal salts using Tannic Acid. The second project involved the preparation of conducting Silver Nanostructures in various substrates through photographic reduction, employing inkjet printing and transferring the same to a silicone substrate using exfoliation, and mechanical characterization of the samples to study their application as wearable strain sensors.

Incredible NITT, the official nature club of NIT Tiruchirappalli, is a student group to appreciate, conserve and record the Flora and Fauna of the amazing NIT-T campus and also explore and learn about the wildlife in and around Trichy and other Bio-Diversity rich places. The work of the club's treasurer involves proper utilization of budget allocated by the Institute and maintaining proper accounts for the same.

Pixelbug is the Official Photography Club of NIT Trichy. The club photographs all the events that happen within the campus and the deputy managers organize and coordinate the photoshoots happening during the four different fests of the Institute.
