This research focuses on the publication in a Q2 journal with the title: "Dehydration and Deoxygenation of Castor Oil Using Base Catalyst to Synthesize Alkanes." As a research assistant, I have some tasks as follows:• Conducted over 20 batches of experiments for the dehydration-deoxygenation reaction of Castor Oil• Interpreted the GC-MS and FTIR test results of oil product obtained from the entire reaction batch • Proposed a route to synthesize alkanes from castor oil using base catalyst via dehydration-deoxygenation pathway• Prepared drafts of research analysis and results to be published as a scientific paper in the Q2 journal.

• Gathered the operating condition data and stream composition on 6 process equipments in the PENEX unit.• Created an unprecedented simulation model of a deisohexanizer column with two reboilers using Aspen HYSYS• Optimized the temperature of the rectifying section of the deisohexanizer to produce gasoline with the highest RON• Proposed 3 strategies for reducing the input of low RON heavy naphtha into the deisohexanizer column.

• Created solution manuals for all exam questions with the lecturer's approval.• Responsible for grading students' assignments, pre-tests, mid-term exams, and final projects.• Delivered 2 lectures on modeling a simulation for natural gas processing using Aspen HYSYS
