I am a PhD research scholar in Chemical Oceanography at Université du Québec à Rimouski (UQAR), where I conduct a cutting-edge research project on the contamination of emerging pollutants (microplastics and associated chemicals) in the water and atmosphere of the St. Lawrence ecosystem. My research aims to understand the fate, behaviour and toxicity of these pollutants in the environment, and their impacts on the ecosystem and human health.With a master's degree in Marine Chemistry, I have a strong background and passion for finding solutions to environmental challenges and contributing to the scientific community. I had participated in sailing expeditions to the Indian Ocean and Arctic Ocean, where I collected and analyzed samples for pollutants. I have and is using advanced analytical techniques, such as FTIR, Raman spectroscopy, UV-VIS, ICP-OES, AAS, and GC-MS/MS. I have experience working in research institutes as an intern and a project fellow, along with my teaching assistance. I am eager to apply my skills and knowledge to advance the field of environmental toxicology and oceanography.
