With this summer internship I had the chance to understand the processes undertaken by the personal banking sector in UAE to be the one-stop shop for as many financial services as possible for individual retail clients. The tasks carried out during the internship were:• Acquired in-depth knowledge about a range of basic retail services such as checking accounts, savings accounts, personal loans, mortgages, auto loans, debit cards and credit cards.• Oversaw key teller services such as cash withdrawal, cash and cheque deposit, transfer of funds between accounts, check account balance and provide mini-statement inquiries for account, card and loans. • Encouraged customers to consider buying the ENBD Global Cash card, to increase sales.• Learned the mechanics behind the calculation of EMI on loans. • Discovered the use of flexi-loans, the flexible interest rate loans that adjust to the changing world.

Identification and mitigation of risk while deploying capital appropriately so as to maximise shareholders value is empirical.
