I worked with the Portfolio Analytics Group (PAG), specializing in Client Business Analytics. Our team focuses on creating and enhancing analytical capabilities to help our firm and clients understand and manage their investments and risks.The two projects I worked on focused on creating tools that enhance the visualization of data for BlackRock portfolios. My work included: - Creating back-end code to maximize data output efficiency - Connecting back-end outputs with front-end tools like Power BI to display and visualize data - Building front-end visualizations that are useful and accommodating for clients - Implementing back-end filters for restricted data to allow access for more teams and users - Merging tools with major differences across regions (US/EMEA) to create one global interface - Creating a Usage Analytics Dashboard to help analyze how tools are being usedBy completing my projects, I accomplished the following: - Reducing costs of $1000/user each year for services that provided outdated versions of similar tools - Accommodating analytics for 5 different regions, all integrated within one dashboard - Expanding accessibility of tools to more BlackRock teams and clients without access to restricted data

Each week, I teach students Java and Data Structures concepts as they take the Data Structures (CS 61B) course at UC Berkeley. It is my responsibility to host review sessions of the material they have learned throughout the course, discussions and tutorials on practice exam problems, and both academic as well as emotional support during my students' times of need.
