I was actively involved in various shop activities, which provided me with a solid foundation in practical engineering skills and deepened my understanding of how my design decisions impact the manufacturing and assembly processes.One of the most significant projects I undertook was the design, fabrication, and programming of an automated pick-and-place system. This project encompassed several key responsibilities:Design and Modeling: Utilized SolidWorks to design and model custom components for the pick-and-place system.Prototyping and Manufacturing: Employed 3D printing and machining techniques to prototype and manufacture the designed components.System Integration: Integrated a conveyor belt, various sensors, and a Universal Robots collaborative robot to create a fully automated system.Programming: Learned and utilized the Universal Robots programming software to develop and optimize the system’s operations, enhancing its efficiency and performance.This role allowed me to develop critical problem-solving skills, gain proficiency in using industry standard software, and understand the intricacies of designing and implementing automated systems.
