Co-founded and oversaw operations for Averto, a real-time, crowd-sourced situational awareness mapping application utilized by civilians to navigate life during the most recent conflict in Libya. As co-founder and COO, I oversaw a team of on-the-ground moderators, analyzed spatial data collected through the application and open sources, presented findings and pitched the app to potential donors and investors, and contributed to the development of UI, UX, data protection and data validation specifications. At its height, Averto had over 40K monthly active users and over 10K daily active users, while its associated Facebook group had over 250K members.

Researched sovereign-level disaster risk insurance programs in African nations: coded and analyzed government and NGO documents relating to extreme climate event insurance and disaster contingency planning (July 2018-April 2019).Research and analyze media coverage, legal procedures, and corporate policies relating to a high-profile, ongoing bankruptcy lawsuit (April 2019-present).

Traveled the state and country representing the Miss Oregon Scholarship Program, speaking at fundraising events, and presenting to community groups (Rotary clubs, Chambers of Commerce, philanthropic organizations) about my personal platforms: Intercultural Community-Building and Refugee Resettlement. Consistently maintained relationships with current and potential Miss Oregon Scholarship Program donors.

I co-founded a branch of No Lost Generation, a refugee advocacy group, at the University of Oregon. Within this leadership role, I planned informational events, activities and fundraisers; built a website and managed social media accounts; and spearheaded an ongoing project to establish scholarships for refugee students at the university.
